Description
A high-protein, extremely low-calorie coffee cake recipe designed to save your life during a calorie deficit. High in volume and high in caffeine!
Ingredients
- 300ml (10 fl oz) Egg Whites
- 15-20g (0.5-0.7oz) Instant Coffee
- 1/4 cup (50g / 1.8oz) Granulated Sweetener (e.g., Monkfruit)
- 1/4 cup (60ml / 2 fl oz) Hot Water
- 20g (0.7oz) Vanilla Protein Powder
Method
- Preheat oven to 180°C (355°F). Add the egg whites to a bowl and beat with an electric mixer for around 5 minutes until stiff peaks form.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the instant coffee, sweetener, and hot water until dissolved and slightly thickened.
- Gently fold the coffee mixture into the whipped egg whites without knocking too much air out.
- Pour into a lined baking dish or loaf tin and bake for 12 minutes until lightly set on top. Let cool slightly before serving.
- Mix the vanilla protein powder with a dash of water until smooth and drizzle over the top before serving.
